Industry and Business

I will support local businesses by advocating and fighting for favourable tax regimes. We need investment in our four town centres (Corsham, Calne, Chippenham and Royal Wootton Bassett) to encourage new businesses start-ups, allow existing businesses to thrive and to attract larger businesses to enhance employment opportunities across the constituency.  We need more investment in High Tech and Science based enterprises and more support to allow farmers to provide sustainable food grown locally. If War in Ukraine has taught us anything, it is that we must be more self-sufficient as a nation.

My visit to the new Auction House in Royal Wootton Bassett.

Today I visited the new Auction House that is currently under construction in Royal Wootton Bassett, thanks to Cllr Steve Bucknell. This will certainly be a fantastic addition to the town's high street. Don't forget to pay them a visit when they open in the Autumn.
